Blog Post of the Day:
What is a Public Service Announcement? If you don't know what it is, Google it. In your own words, now tell me what it is? What are they used for? Can you recall an example of a PSA you've seen before?

A Public Service Announcement is information the general public of a certain area needs to know, given through media without charge; or, rather, without any clearly visible charge, since nothing is free. Usually, Public Service Announcements are about something important. At least, I assume it would be. Not sure why the government would waste time on something as simple as 'oh hey yeah, so the cupcakery is having a sale in a week', but I guess that's why I'm never going to be involved with politics.
I once saw a Public Service Announcement which kindly informed me of the incoming flash flood, interrupting Wipeout and ultimately doing nothing for me since the foretold flood never happened. Not that I should complain, because if there was a flash flood, and I simply continued to snicker at the misfortune fools on the kitchen television while eating undercooked pasta, I likely would be singing another dandy tune.
